Nuc: Vinyl LP

Mercury Prize - nominated cross - genre composer and producer Anna Meredith teams up with the contemporary string quartet Ligeti Quartet for a brand - new project. 'Nuc' began as a chat between Anna and Richard Jones (viola player of Ligeti Quartet) after ten years of collaboration. It honors their shared view on making music that breaks boundaries while directly connecting with the listeners. Besides string and electronic recordings of Anna's music from her entire career, performed by Ligeti Quartet, Richard also crafted new arrangements of her existing works. 'Nuc' is a celebration of forward - thinking pop composition based on classical instrumentation. The result is a collection of tracks that are joyful, sometimes furious, never overly serious, and vary from energetic to restful. They shine with Anna's signature compelling harmonies, rhythmic changes, and sparkling textures.
