Description

Sweden's Opeth is set to release their most significant record yet, 'In Cauda Venenum'. This lucky thirteenth album is engaging, delicate, panoramic, intense, and musical. With a clever Travis Smith cover full of inside jokes and a nod to King Diamond, a masterful production from Park Studios, Opeth's top - notch musicianship, and all - Swedish lyrics, it truly raises the bar. Although it's the first Swedish - language record (there's also an English version), the 10 songs feel and sound completely natural. 'In Cauda Venenum' is tricky yet charming, with melodies that grow on you after repeated listens. Åkerfeldt wrote this album during his sabbatical, seeking a return to the creative days of old. The idea of a Swedish - only record came to him while driving his kids to school. Despite the challenges of targeting a predominantly English - speaking fanbase, he persevered. Recorded at Park Studios in Stockholm in 2018, Opeth is now on tour to support this album. Åkerfeldt hopes fans will focus on the music and appreciate this new chapter as they did previous classics like 'Morningrise', 'Damnation', and 'Pale Communion'.

To enjoy this vinyl record, simply place it on your turntable and gently drop the needle onto the groove. Make sure your turntable is clean and in good working condition. When handling the record, always hold it by the edges to avoid fingerprints and scratches. After each use, put the record back in its sleeve to protect it from dust. Store the vinyl in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and heat. If you notice any dust on the record, use a soft, anti - static brush to clean it before playing. And most importantly, take the time to really listen to the music and soak in the unique sounds of Opeth's 'In Cauda Venenum'.
