Keepsakes: Vinyl LP

Berlin-based avant-garde duo Hackedepicciotto is back with their fifth full-length studio album, Keepsakes. This is their second album on Mute, recorded at the Neapolitan studio Auditorium Novecento, one of Europe's oldest recording spaces. Inspired by the place where Caruso and Morricone once were, the new music features tubular bells and a grand piano in their symphonic drone signature sound. While past albums had universal themes, this new album has a personal touch. The duo calls it 'an ode to friendship, presenting songs of gratitude'. Hackedepicciotto consists of Alexander Hacke and Danielle de Picciotto. Danielle is the lead singer of Space Cowboys and co-initiator of the Love Parade, and Alexander is a founding member of Einstürzende Neubauten, known for working with Crime & the City Solution and Phew. Tracks include Troubadour, Aichach, Anthem, La femme sauvage, Mastodon, Schwarze Milch, Lovestuff, Song of Gratitude, and The Blackest Crow.
