Description

L.A. Shit is an amazing new LP from the hard - hitting country outfit led by Fat Creeps under Gracie Jackson. It features contributions from King Tuff, Emmett Kelley (Cairo Gang, Bonnie 'Prince' Billy, Ty Segall Band), and Bobbie Lovesong. Gracie Jackson weaves captivating stories in her songs. Her debut record Eat Shit with Wharf Cat takes us through the past five years of her life. We see her as a traveling nurse in Wyoming, dancing with a man in a sharp white Stetson, eating chicken wings in a hazmat suit, and commenting on the strangeness of Los Angeles filled with wannabe cowboys and fast - food joints. This is a perfect country music record, the kind you'd play loudly in your truck on empty highways. It's also a vulnerable record, with lyrics about the intensity of life, all told with humor and self - awareness. L.A. Shit marks Gracie's comeback to music after a multi - year break. During 2015 - 2020, she was busy with session work and singing live background vocals for Alex Izenberg, Color Green, Sonny Kosmo, Banny Grove, and The Lentils. This record is not only Gracie's major artistic output but also a community effort. She enlisted many friends in the LA area, mostly touring and session musicians stuck at home during the pandemic. 'I'm grateful,' she says. 'I'm proud to showcase my friends on this record.' L.A. Shit is a big family affair, funny, heartbreaking, and as country as it gets.

Using this vinyl LP is super easy. Just place it on your record player, gently drop the needle, and enjoy the wonderful country music. When handling the LP, make sure your hands are clean to avoid leaving fingerprints on the record, which could affect the sound quality. Store the vinyl in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and heat. If the record gets dirty, you can use a soft, anti - static brush to gently clean the grooves. Don't use harsh chemicals or abrasive materials as they can damage the record. And always handle the LP by the edges to prevent scratches.
