In early 2024, BADBADNOTGOOD was full of fresh creative energy. After international tour dates and sessions with artists like Daniel Cesar and Charlotte Day Wilson, the Canadian trio of Al Sow, Chester Hansen, and Leland Whitty headed back to the studio. They invited friends and collaborators, including touring member Felix Fox - Pappas and key Toronto jazz scene players, for a productive week of recording at Valentine Studios in LA in February 2024. The result is the Mid Spiral series, first released digitally in three parts - Chaos, Order, and Growth - and now available on a double LP and CD. The Mid Spiral suites blend instrumental jazz with hip - hop, neo - soul, psychedelic, and funk. The trio added more musicians, creating a collaborative and expansive new sound. Three distinct moods - Chaos, Order, and Growth - reflect the musicians' personal lives and the world. Tracklisting includes Eyes On Me, Take Me With You, and many more.
