The long - awaited moment has arrived! Starting August 11, 2023, all three studio albums by the beloved band Lush will be back on vinyl. Lush, led by the songwriting genius of Emma Anderson and Miki Berenyi, defined 90s music scenes like shoegaze, dream pop, and Britpop before disbanding in 1998. They reformed briefly in 2016, and a new, young audience has fallen in love with their music through platforms like TikTok and Spotify. Except for a 2016 Record Store Day boxset, these albums - 'Spooky' (1992), 'Split' (1994), and 'Lovelife' (1996) - have been unavailable on vinyl since the 90s. Due to high demand, Lush collaborated with engineer Kevin Vanbergen to remaster their studio albums. Using original ½” production tapes, he created stunning 24 - bit masters that capture the essence of the originals. Album art has always been a big part of Lush's charm. The first two re - pressed albums will have their original designs, while 'Lovelife' uses 2016 boxset art to keep the 1996 collectible sleeve exclusive. 'Split', originally released on June 13, 1994, features singles 'Desire Lines' and 'Hypocrite'. Produced by Mike Hedges and mixed by Alan Moulder, it has a direct sound while keeping that signature dark feel. Tracks include 'Light From A Dead Star', 'Kiss Chase', and more.
