Mirage: Pink Glass Translucent Vinyl LP

Molly Lewis's music is like a gentle breeze from a far - off land, floating into our ears. It's truly otherworldly, inspired more by dreamscapes than real - world locations. Her unique whistle, reminiscent of the great Peruvian soprano Yma Sumac, has been featured in a wide range of musical recordings, from Schumann lieder and Brazilian jazz to Spaghetti Western ballads and noir lounge. Her 2021 debut EP, The Forgotten Edge, was produced by Tom Brenneck (known for working with Charles Bradley and Amy Winehouse). It was a huge critical success, getting praise from The New York Times and NPR, and even landing her a spot on CBS Sunday Morning. Now, for her second EP, Mirage, Lewis and Brenneck have joined forces again, bringing in Brazilian guitarist Rogê, percussionist Gibi Dos Santos, and keyboardist Roger Manning. Mirage is expansive and full of atmosphere, Lewis's most captivating work to date. Similar to eden ahbez's Eden’s Island (1970), whose 'Nature Boy' is covered in a standout track of Mirage, this album is based on Lewis's visions of an imaginary island. The rich, ocean - like textures of Mirage take you to an unknown beach, whether you're alone or with your dream companions.

Using this vinyl LP is simple. Just place it on your turntable carefully and use the tonearm to drop the needle gently on the record. When you're done listening, lift the tonearm and return it to its rest position. Always handle the record by its edges to avoid getting fingerprints on the playing surface, as this can affect the sound quality.
