They blend pop songs with avant - garde kraut - punk noise to create a unique sonic experience. The band lives by a DIY ethos. After moving into an LS6 terraced house, they turned their damp basement into a recording space using empty egg boxes and carpet remnants for soundproofing. To enhance their sound, they had Matt Peel (Eagulls, WH Lung) record their debut at Nave Studios in Leeds. Leeds is integral to Treeboy and Arc. They're proud of their city and represent it well. They're signed to Leeds - based Clue Records, which recently partnered with EMI as part of EMI North. Their debut album, Natural Habitat, is now available on a limited - edition indie - only orange vinyl with a green swirl.
