The brilliant pianist Don Pullen was an outstanding and adaptable player. He first gained fame with Charles Mingus in the 1970s. After two Blue Note albums with the Don Pullen - George Adams Quartet, in 1988, Pullen went solo in a trio format with his recording New Beginnings. It features bassist Gary Peacock and drummer Tony Williams. Side A includes tracks like 'Jana's Delight', 'Once Upon A Time', and 'Warriors'. Side B has 'New Beginnings', 'At The Cafe Centrale', and 'Reap The Whirlwind'.
