Pale Blue Eyes' third album, New Place, is an ode to fresh beginnings. It marks a shift from the idyllic Devon to the synth - rich Sheffield. In 2024, the band embarked on an epic 12 - country European tour with Slownave, covering over 12,000 kilometres. They faced snow in Norway and Poland and drought - hit landscapes in France and Spain. At the year's end, family tragedy led the core couple, singer - guitarist Matt Board and drummer - synthist Lucy Board, to move from South Devon to South Yorkshire. Lucy says change is the album's theme, about starting anew while reflecting on the journey.
