Since their start in early 2013, MANTAR, a two - piece band from Northern Germany, has become a force in the extreme metal underground. They blend black metal, doom, and punk with pure primal rage, making them louder and more ferocious than many larger bands. The half - German/half - Turkish duo, with vocalist/guitarist Hanno Klaenhardt and drummer Erinc Sakarya, self - released a 7' single in late 2013, which led to a deal with Svart Records for their debut album 'Death By Burning' in 2013. This raw, self - produced album got huge critical acclaim in early 2014 and made it onto many year - end best - of lists. The success took MANTAR on tours around the world and to renowned festivals. In 2016, they're set to release 'Ode To The Flame' via Nuclear Blast Records. This new record is an ultimate display of raw sonic power. MANTAR is already booked for many festivals this year.
