Outlandos D'Amour: Vinyl LP

In 1978, The Police's debut album, Outlandos D'Amour, was initially poorly received. However, it delivered three huge hits for A&M - 'So Lonely', 'Can't Stand Losing You', and 'Roxanne'. It eventually made it to the UK Top 10 in 1979. With their unique blend of reggae and rock, along with a pop sensibility, this debut still showed traces of their punk roots from the London club scene of the late 70s. Rolling Stone said it 'offers something for everyone', and Smash Hits noted 'loud and energetic rock with short, catchy tunes, great playing, and tight arrangements'. A US club tour introduced them to a New Wave audience, and airplay of 'Roxanne' helped build their fame in America, peaking in 1983 with their final studio album, Synchronicity. Side A features tracks like 'Next To You' and 'So Lonely', while Side B includes 'Can't Stand Losing You' and 'Truth Hits Everybody'.

To use this vinyl LP, first make sure your record player is clean and in good working condition. Place the vinyl gently on the turntable and use the tonearm to carefully lower the needle onto the start of the record. Enjoy the music! When handling the vinyl, hold it by the edges to avoid fingerprints on the playing surface. After each use, store the vinyl in its sleeve to protect it from dust and scratches.
