Description
This October, Kazakh - British artist Galya Bisengalieva releases her second studio album, Polygon, on One Little Independent. She's now sharing the second single, Alash - Kala. Similar to her 2020 debut Aralkum, Galya draws on stories from her native Kazakhstan. Aralkum focused on the shrinking Aral Sea, while Polygon delves into one of the darkest chapters in Kazakh history. The Semipalatinsk Test Site in northeastern Kazakhstan, also known as The Polygon, was the Soviet Union's main nuclear - weapons testing area. Despite creating more nuclear fallout than Chernobyl, its story remains little - known globally. As boomkat says, 'The elemental talents of LCO violinist and composer Galya Bisengalieva flourish on a 2nd album of avant - classical explorations inspired by Kazakh folklore, ecology, and history.' Tracks include Alash - Kala, Saryzhal, Polygon, Sary - Uzen, Chagan, Balapan, and Degelen.
Using this vinyl LP is simple. Just place it on a compatible turntable, gently drop the needle on the starting groove, and enjoy the music. When handling the record, make sure your hands are clean to avoid leaving fingerprints or dirt on the surface. Store the vinyl in its sleeve when not in use to protect it from scratches and dust. Keep it in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight to prevent warping. If the record gets dirty, you can use a vinyl cleaning brush to gently remove debris. Don't use harsh chemicals as they can damage the vinyl.
