Formed in Manchester in 1978, this band was one of the first signed by Tony Wilson to the legendary Factory Records. Led mainly by guitarist and vocalist Vini Reilly, they've built a cult following with fans like Brian Eno and John Frusciante. Recorded after Reilly's mother passed away, this melancholic album delves into themes of loss and self - reflection. Standout tracks include 'Vigil' with its trip - hop influence and 'Spanish Lament' that combines Reilly's signature guitar shimmer with a sample from David Lynch's Mulholland Drive. Pressed on two 140g clear vinyls and housed in printed inner sleeves.
