The Specials, a legendary band from the late 70s and early 80s, are closely linked with Jerry Dammers' iconic Two Tone Records. Initially known as The Coventry Automatics in 1977, they blended Jamaican ska and Rocksteady with punk energy, sparking a huge Ska Revival. This revival helped bands like Madness, The Beat, and The Selecter release their first singles. Their debut single, 'Gangsters', was released in May 1979 through independent distributor Rough Trade. The initial 5,000 - copy pressing sold out quickly. The band and the label then signed with Chrysalis Records, which promoted the release of 'Gangsters'. In September, 'A Message To You Rudy' came out, and their first album followed in October.

To enjoy this vinyl LP, first, make sure your turntable is clean and in good working condition. Gently place the record on the turntable, align the needle carefully at the start of the groove, and let the music play. When handling the record, always hold it by the edges to avoid fingerprints and scratches. After use, store it in its protective sleeve and keep it in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
