Engine 54 is the debut studio album of The Ethiopians, one of Jamaica's most beloved harmony groups from the late ska, rocksteady, and early reggae eras. Between the mid-1960s and early 1970s, they scored numerous hits and were among the first Jamaican acts to perform extensively in Britain. Originally released in 1968, this album, recorded with Tommy McCook and the Supersonics, leans more towards rocksteady than ska.
