Description

Demon Records proudly presents Distortion: 1989 - 1995, the first in a four - part vinyl box set series that details the solo journey of the legendary American musician Bob Mould. Bob Mould started his career in 1979 with the iconic underground punk band Hüsker Dü. Later, he formed the well - loved alternative rock group Sugar and released many critically acclaimed solo albums. This first volume spans from 1989 to 1995, starting with Mould's first post - Hüsker Dü album Workbook and ending with Sugar's final studio album File Under: Easy Listening. Each album comes with brand - new artwork by illustrator Simon Marchner and is pressed on 140g clear vinyl with unique splatter effects. The set also includes a 28 - page companion booklet. It features liner notes by journalist Keith Cameron, a foreword by writer and actor Fred Armisen, a tribute from Richard Thompson, plus lyrics and memorabilia. Mastered by Jeff Lipton and Maria Rice at Peerless Mastering in Boston, the set offers a great array of bonus tracks. These include Sugar's 1995 B - sides and non - album tracks collection Besides, along with the new and exclusive Distortion Plus: 1989 - 1995 collection of rarities and collaborations.

Using this 7 - LP box set is simple. Just grab your record player, carefully take out an album from the box, place it on the turntable, and let the music play. When handling the vinyl, make sure your hands are clean to avoid leaving fingerprints or dirt on the records. Store the box set in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight to prevent the vinyl from warping and the artwork from fading. After each use, gently clean the vinyl with a soft record brush to keep it in good condition. And don't forget to flip through the 28 - page companion booklet to enjoy the liner notes, foreword, and other memorabilia.
