Azel: Vinyl LP

This vinyl LP from Partisan Records features 'Azel' by Bombino. Oumara 'Bombino' Moctar, a talented guitar player, has created a new style of Tuareg music called 'Tuareggae'. It combines traditional Tuareg blues with Western vocal harmonies, thanks to Dave Longstreth's influence, adding depth and color to the songs. The album was recorded in Woodstock, NY, produced by Dave Longstreth of Dirty Projectors and mixed by David Wrench of FKA Twigs. The title 'Azel' has three meanings: a small desert town near Bombino's hometown, the roots or stems of a tree, and Tamasheq slang for 'That's my jam!'. This album also includes a download code.
