Description

Standing In The Light, the beloved third album by Level 42, is now back on a strictly limited audiophile gold vinyl LP. By 1983, Level 42 - Mark King on bass and vocals, Mike Lindup on keyboards and vocals, Boon Gould on guitar, Phil Gould on drums and lyrics, and studio wizard Wally Badarou - were respected survivors of the early 80s Britfunk scene, yet to achieve major commercial success. Polydor sent them to LA to work with Larry Dunn and Verdine White from Earth, Wind & Fire to enhance their sound. Standing In The Light refined their sound for the mainstream without losing their British jazz - funk touch. The first single, Out Of Sight, Out Of Mind, nearly made the UK Top 40. Then, Living It Up (The Sun Goes Down) became their first UK Top 10 hit, making Standing In The Light their first Top 10 album. It also features the intense, political I Want Eyes and five other signature grooves. This LP is meticulously reproduced to match the original UK first pressings and comes on 180gm audiophile gold vinyl, perfect for replacing old favorites or starting a new collection.

To enjoy your Standing In The Light gold vinyl LP, first, make sure your turntable is clean and properly set up. Gently remove the LP from its sleeve, holding it by the edges to avoid fingerprints. Place it carefully on the turntable platter and lower the tonearm onto the record. Sit back and enjoy the high - quality sound. When you're done, lift the tonearm gently and return it to its rest. Then, carefully put the LP back in its sleeve to protect it from dust and scratches. Keep the LP in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and heat sources. If the record gets dirty, use a soft, anti - static record brush to clean it. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials as they can damage the vinyl.
