It's a journey into 'THE ALTERNATIVE OF THE ALTERNATIVE', the sound of the Freak Left and an early DIY style, a precursor to punk rock. It combines folk, country, busking, comedy, and more. Created communally without commercial goals over LSD - laced drinks and free trips. It's also a journey into a different world, the world of the Heads and Freaks. Ten years after the start of counter - culture, it was almost gone due to punk nihilism and economic hardship. But these artists represent self - made ideas, freedom, and protest. They achieved change, like the Rainbow coalition and the hope brought by Obama. Maybe it's time to give their ideas a voice again.
