Description

After their well - received debut 'The Summoned' on Acid Jazz in 2023, Mama Terra is back with a brand - new album, 'Chameleons: Live Interpretations of Herbie Hancock'. This album reimagines Hancock's iconic works in a live setting, paying homage and exploring new musical horizons. 'Headhunters' has a strong influence on leader Marco Cafolla. The album originated from Jazz FM's 'Classic Albums' series and was recorded live at the Glasgow International Jazz Festival in June 2024. It showcases Mama Terra's amazing live performance skills. Led by Marco Cafolla on keyboards, the musicians include Konrad Wiszniewski on tenor sax, Rachel Lightbody on vocals, Ross David Saunders on upright bass and as the mix engineer, and Doug Hough on drums. Known for their fresh and energetic take on spiritual jazz with soul and R&B influences, Mama Terra performed at the 2024 SXSW Festival in Austin, Texas, along with many other festival and jazz club shows. 'Chameleons…' reveals a rising band. Tracklist: 1. Chameleon 2. Watermelon Man 3. Cantaloupe Island 4. Butterfly 5. Sly 6. Vein Melter

To enjoy this Vinyl LP, first make sure your record player is clean and in good working condition. Place the vinyl gently on the turntable and use the tonearm to lower the needle onto the start of the record. Sit back and relax as you listen to Mama Terra's live interpretations of Herbie Hancock's music. When you're done listening, carefully lift the tonearm and return it to its rest. Store the vinyl in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight. Avoid touching the playing surface of the vinyl with your fingers to prevent dirt and oil buildup. If the vinyl gets dirty, you can use a vinyl cleaning brush to gently remove dust.
