Recorded remotely from 2021 to 2022, this album was crafted through mutual compositions, developed and enhanced online. The final recordings took place at the magnificent Chale Abbey Studios on the Isle Of Wight. Moses Boyd on drums, Tom Herbert on bass, and Siobhan Cosgrove on flute and clarinet added unique elements to several tracks. The album features the reflective single 'Viento Calido' and the ambient 'Sabena', a touching tribute to Gigi’s wife who passed away in 2022. Greg Foat has a rich recording history, with acclaimed albums like Symphonie Pacifique (2020) and The Mage (2019). Gigi Masin, famous for his 1986 ambient classic Wind and as a member of Gaussian Curve, has seen a resurgence in recent years. Dolphin marks the first significant collaboration between Greg and Gigi. As Greg recalls, 'I first heard Gigi’s album Wind in 2016 in Miami, and I've always wanted to record with him since.'
