Description

Delays' Faded Seaside Glamour, a debut album full of wonder and charm, was released in 2004. Frontman Greg Gilbert's delicate yet powerful vocals blended seamlessly with the forward - thinking synths of his brother Aaron, Colin Fox's bass, and Rowly's drumming. This created a series of catchy pop hits with a long - lasting impact. Iconic singles like 'Nearer Than Heaven' and 'Long Time Coming' put Southampton's Delays on the map. Tracks such as 'No Ending', 'Stay Where You Are', and 'Wanderlust' showed the album's remarkable depth. Even after nearly 20 years since its release and the tragic loss of Greg Gilbert in 2021, the album's music endures and continues to connect with audiences. To honor this great work, Rough Trade Records is releasing Faded Seaside Glamour on vinyl for the first time. There's a limited - edition orange vinyl with deluxe packaging, including a print of Greg’s art and words by Aaron, as well as a standard black vinyl version.

To enjoy this vinyl LP, first, make sure your turntable is clean and in good working condition. Gently place the vinyl on the turntable and use the tonearm to lower the needle onto the record's groove at the start of the track. When you're done listening, lift the tonearm carefully and turn off the turntable. Always handle the vinyl by its edges to avoid fingerprints and scratches. Store the vinyl upright in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and heat. For the limited - edition orange vinyl with deluxe packaging, be extra careful not to damage the packaging and the included print of Greg’s art and words by Aaron.
