Continuing the water - themed concept from his debut, Liquid Spirit is a significant step in Porter's discography. It explores themes like the ups and downs of romance, his childhood memories, and socio - political insights. Porter's songs, drawn from personal experiences, are both relatable and emotionally impactful. His catchy melodies will grab you right away. In 2014, Liquid Spirit won the Grammy Award for Best Jazz Vocal Album. It's achieved platinum status in the UK and Germany, and gold in France, the Netherlands, and Austria, selling over a million copies globally. To celebrate the album's 10th anniversary, Blue Note presents a special vinyl edition. It includes the original album on 2LP, along with a disc of bonus tracks and remixes.
