Live In San Francisco: Vinyl LP

This is the final entry in our Live In San Francisco series. It features an intimate evening with Alex Cameron and his essential sax man, Roy Molloy, performing at the Swedish American Hall in San Francisco. This classy venue was built in 1907 on Market Street, near the Castro District. I was first introduced to Alex Cameron by Adam Beris. I was immediately attracted by his unique music, which features stark portraits of losers and ego - maniacs. We planned to make a live record when Alex was opening for Oh Sees. We made it a semi - formal event in a classy hall, with flowers, champagne, and fine wines. Roy's sax sounds sultry, Al is in great form, and Justin Nijssen adds guitar and backups. They perform hits from Jumping The Shark and 'Candy May' from Forced Witness. This vinyl LP, released by Castle Face Records in partnership with Secretly Canadian, is our proudest Live In SF disc.
