Man Made Object is the third album from the Mancunian jazz piano trio GoGo Penguin. Released in 2016 on Blue Note, it's a masterpiece. The trio has a unique style, blending minimalist piano themes, powerful basslines, and electro - influenced drum parts. This distinctive approach earned them a nomination for England’s Mercury Prize. Even though they play real instruments, the members are clearly inspired by electronic music, arcade game beeps, surprising rhythmic patterns, hypnotic Aphex Twin - like melodies, and strong basslines that are always prominent in their music. What makes GoGo Penguin stand out is their ability to blend influences from electronica, jazz, and classical music into their sound.
