Over The Years: Orange Vinyl 2LP

This 2LP vinyl comes in a vibrant orange color. Recorded in 2000 mainly in New York, Over the Years is a great summary of Abbey Lincoln’s long - standing career and is probably her best album. Performing in a quartet, and on some tracks accompanied by Joe Lovano's tenor saxophone or Jerry Gonzalez's trumpet, Abbey Lincoln showcases her unique, nonchalant, haranguing and poetic voice. Whether it's her own compositions or standards like Michel Legrand’s “Windmills Of Your Mind”, she continues her personal music journey. Abbey sings to the blues, gospel and jazz lovers as if the old work songs still echo within her. The a cappella “Tender As A Rose” is the highlight of the album. Tracklist: Side A: 1.
