ANOHNI is set to release “PARADISE,” the companion Extended Play (EP) to last year's HOPELESSNESS, one of the most critically praised and talked - about albums of 2016, on March 17th through Rough Trade Records. Collaborating with Oneohtrix Point Never and Hudson Mohawke, ANOHNI on “PARADISE” aims to fuel activist conversations and break common ideas about popular music. This is achieved by combining electronic sounds with highly political lyrics. “PARADISE” features new songs and some live - debuted material. In the title track “Paradise,” Anohni sings about a strange sense of alienation, painting a picture of a dystopian life full of horror, awe, comfort, and threat. She gives a feeling of being disconnected: 'Myself, I'm here... not here, as a point of consciousness.' The music is wild and exciting, with a heavy beat crafted by Hudson Mohawke and unique vocal effects by Daniel Lopatin.
