Fontaines D.C. unveil their much - awaited fourth album, ROMANCE, out on 23rd August via XL Recordings. This is the band's first collaboration with producer James Ford, promising a record that's more assured, inventive, and sonically adventurous than ever. Building on the success of their 2022 hit Skinty Fia, which topped the UK and Irish album charts and won them numerous awards, including the 'International Group of the Year' at the 2023 BRIT Awards. Inspired by a panic attack lead singer Grian Chatten had at London's St Pancras station, it features sharp, feral breaths, a propulsive beat, and unrelenting lyrics. It shifts from self - destruction fantasy to a moment of clarity, with Chatten's baritone adding a dreamy touch. The music video by Aube Perrie is a cinematic masterpiece. ROMANCE is the band's most ambitious work yet. Since Skinty Fia in 2022, the members have been brewing ideas during tours with Arctic Monkeys.
