London-based Austrian-Brazilian artist Viji, also known as Vanilla Jenner, is set to release her much-anticipated debut album, So Vanilla, on October 27th via Speedy Wunderground. Drawing on the laid-back, edgy sounds of the 90s, Viji has quickly become one of the UK's most exciting alternative artists. She previously released music on Dirty Hit and recently joined Speedy Wunderground, building a loyal fanbase and earning praise from BBC Radio 1, BBC Radio 6 Music, and many music magazines. So Vanilla was mainly recorded in London with four-time Mercury Prize nominee Dan Carey. Viji says each song had a unique writing process. Born in Vienna, she moved to the US, Brazil, and then the UK to study music production. Understanding production techniques helped her grow as a writer and performer. Now signed to Speedy Wunderground, her shoe-gazey rock and unique vocal style make her a standout in modern rock. The album features 12 tracks including Anything, Down, and Sedative.
